Wedding Dress & Grad Dress Alterations Service
Our consultants can provide recommendations on how your favourite dresses can be altered. They are familiar with the ins and outs of what is possible for each of our bridal, bridesmaids, mother of the bride/groom, and grad styles. The Stella’s Bridal expert alterations team has extensive experience in dressmaking and custom tailoring. Our seamstresses take great pride in their attention to detail.
The Process:
We recommend starting the alterations process two to three months before your wedding or grad event to allow for two to three fitting appointments.
Your dress is ordered according to the largest measurement out of the bust, waist, and hips, and therefore the other aspects of the dress may need alterations.
First appointment – pinning for fit and length
Second appointment – checking for fit and areas of refinement
Third appointment – final fit check and reviewing how to dress on the big day
Alteration Services Available:
Neckline, bodice, bra cups, waistline, sleeve, hip, and hem alterations
Bustle, straps, bra keeps, closure additions, and adjustments
Custom accessories and repairs
Every Stella’s gown purchase comes with full inspection for quality control, steam/press, and a protective Stella’s garment bag.

Please Note: Alterations appointments can be made up to one month in advance of the service. Purchasing a dress does not guarantee an alterations appointment will be available on your preferred date. If needed, we can recommend other local alterations shops.
